CAIRO — In a moment that will be remembered as a turning point for justice, the world’s largest nation and the heart of the Arab world have spoken with one powerful voice: *There will be no peace without Palestine.*
During the historic state visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Cairo, Egypt and China issued a joint declaration that re-centered the global conscience — declaring that making *Palestine a sovereign, independent state is and remains “the central issue in the Middle East.”*
Not a side issue. Not a humanitarian file. THE central issue.
A Categorical Rejection of the Crime of Displacement
In the strongest possible language, Cairo and Beijing announced their *”categorical rejection” of any plans to displace Palestinians from their land “under any pretexts or designations.”*
No forced migration. No “voluntary relocation.” No “humanitarian corridors” designed to empty the land. The message from Cairo to Tel Aviv and to the world is absolute: The Palestinian people will remain on their land. Their forced transfer is a red line that Egypt and China will never accept.
Three Demands for Immediate Justice in Gaza
The joint statement did not stop at principles. It laid out immediate action:
1. *Enforce the Ceasefire Now* in the besieged Gaza Strip.
2. *Unrestricted Flow of Humanitarian Aid* — food, medicine, and fuel must enter without Israeli obstruction.
3. *Return of the Palestinian Authority to Govern Gaza* as soon as possible, restoring Palestinian unity and sovereignty.
This is a direct rejection of any plans to re-occupy, divide, or control Gaza indefinitely.
Alarm Over Terror in the West Bank and Jerusalem
The declaration also sounded a loud alarm over what it described as a dangerous and serious Israeli escalation in the occupied West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem.
The two powers cited rising *settler violence, land confiscation, and illegal settlement construction* — actions that the world sees every day but few have the courage to name. Egypt and China named it.
This is not “clashes.” This is organized violence and theft of land that is killing the two-state solution on the ground.

The world can no longer ignore the truth: Without a free, sovereign, and independent State of Palestine on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, there will be no stability in the Middle East, and no stability in the world.
